Training
Ride your plan on the smart trainer.
Connect your smart trainer over Bluetooth, pick today’s workout and pedal. ERG mode holds the target power for you, and the ride lands on your calendar with its analysis about a minute later.

Your trainer, right in the browser
The ride player connects to your smart trainer over Bluetooth, straight from the browser: Chrome or Edge on a computer or an Android phone. In the browser there is nothing to install; on an iPhone you ride in the Pushing Limits app.
It controls trainers over the Bluetooth fitness machine standard (FTMS), which most current smart trainers support, and Tacx trainers over FE-C. Add a power meter, a heart rate strap, a cadence sensor or a CORE body temperature sensor, and they reconnect by themselves if the connection drops.
- Chrome or Edge on a computer or Android, or the iPhone app
- Smart trainers with FTMS, and Tacx over FE-C
- Power meter, heart rate, cadence and CORE sensors
ERG mode holds the power
In ERG mode the trainer sets the resistance so you ride exactly the target power, whatever your cadence. With a separate power meter connected, the player corrects the target with its reading. Prefer to shift yourself? Resistance mode sets a fixed level, with an optional road feel that varies it slightly, like on the road.
Ride what’s planned
The player lists the structured bike workouts planned for the next two weeks, your own templates and a library of structured rides. Targets come from your FTP, and an intensity slider scales the whole workout up or down before you start.
On screen you see your power against the target, heart rate and cadence, the current step and repeat, what comes next, and the workout profile with the power you actually rode drawn on top.
Adjust while you ride
Legs heavier than expected? Make the workout easier or harder with one tap, skip a step, or change the rest of the workout while you ride: shorter, longer, fewer repeats. A heart rate cap can ease the targets off for you, and the ride pauses by itself when you stop pedalling.
- Easier and harder with one tap
- Skip steps or edit the rest of the workout
- Heart rate cap and auto-pause
- Voice cues and keyboard shortcuts
Saved, then analysed in a minute
When the plan ends you can keep riding, or save. The ride lands on your calendar, and the analysis follows in about a minute: time in power zones, plan against ride, and how well you hit each interval.
Riding in Zwift or ROUVY instead? Planned rides are sent there as well, and you can download any workout as a .zwo, .fit or .mrc file for other apps.
Questions and answers
Which browsers work with the ride player?
Chrome and Edge on a computer or an Android phone, because they support Web Bluetooth. Safari and Firefox don’t, so on an iPhone you ride in the Pushing Limits app.
Does it work with my smart trainer?
Most likely. The player controls trainers that support the Bluetooth fitness machine standard (FTMS), which most current smart trainers do, and Tacx trainers over FE-C.
Does the ride simulate hills or show a video?
No. The player is built for structured workouts: ERG mode or a fixed resistance, with your targets and data on screen. For virtual routes, send the workout to Zwift or ROUVY.
Is indoor riding included in the membership?
Yes. The ride player is part of every membership, and you can try it free for 2 weeks.
